It is impossible to sume in few lines all you can see around the city: a walk along the elegant corso Marruccino is like walking through history, among sumptuous palaces and churches full of art, maybe discovering some unexpected glimpses into an alley or a square.
From the Cathedral of San Giustino, which stands out since 1069, we suggest you go to the Marrucino Theater, an architectural jewel of the 19th century, and after that visiting the National Archaeological Museum, in the lush park of Villa Frigerj.
Inside the Villa you can find some of the most important artifacts of Abruzzo history, starting from the Warrior of Capestrano that looks proudly towards the horizon since the sixth century a. C.
Chieti is also known for its cultural life and its traditions: a respectable theater season and the rituals of Venerdì Santo, with one of the most suggestive processions of Abruzzo and Central Italy. These are just some of the reasons to visit our city.

Since in less than an hour you can easily pass from the Majeletta 1620 meters, to the nearest beaches. Along the way you can discover enchanting villages, rolling hills cultivated with vineyards and olive groves, taking a break to explore a hermitage or a gorge nestled in the mountain.
